As of right now my favorite lip balm that I have made is the Limesickle! I am offically addictied to this one! Speaking of which... Where is my tube?
Anyway, now my lips are moistrized, Today I am making a batch of Classic Wintergreen, on request of some of my friends. I agree, the wintergreen will surely help during this time of year. It is freezing outside!
I don't know about you, but with me, all this cold air and wind blowing outside if and when I am outside (which isn't very often..too cold) my lips start to dry out and crack. Inside, it depends, if we have the wood heater going, my lips whole face dries out. Ehh... Which brings me to my next topic: Lotions and creams!
I am VERY excited to make lotions & creams. Personally, I am not much of a lotion fan, only because my hands get to greasy. I guess if I washed my hands after that would fix that problem...
Back to the lotion. As of right now I only have two different kinds: One with stearic acid and one without.
One of the reasons that I have decieded to sell both, is because some people may be alergic to stearic acid.
So, what exactly is stearic acid? Stearic acid is a waxy solid, and its chemical formula is CH3(CH2)16CO2H. Okay, whatever that means. It occurs in many animal and vegetable fats. Stearic acid is prepared by treating these fats and oils with water at a high pressure and temperature. So, it is an all-natural ingredient.
But, like I mentioned above, some people may be allergic to it, that is why I made one without stearic acid that works just as well.
To be honest, I like the one without stearic acid better!
Those will be coming soon! Promise!!
Just keep checking back!
