hate don't enjoy gloomy, rainy days! And I don't think there is even such a thing as a "perfect" rainy day.... Unless of course you like rainy days. I am not one of those people.
This weekend was gloomy and rainy. Everything was soggy and dripping. Grey and blah! Hopefully, you get the idea..(running out of adjectives over here).
But, I had a perfect project to keep me busy. I made tons of lip balm. Okay, so maybe not tons, but a lot! What better excuse than a rainy day to keep you inside and making lip balms and the like, right?
I had all the supplies like: tubes, labels, flavors and essential oil.
I tend to make more than I need at a time, so some of the work was just melting down what I already had. After that, the fun began!
Some of the ones that I made were:
Pomagrante Lip Gloss
Blueberry Lip Gloss
Watermelon Lip Gloss
Then something really good happened. I had a small container with some of the Limesickle lip balm in it, I put it in the jar to melt and I had a wonderful idea.
You see, I had received a request for some new flavors and one of them was Strawberry. As, the Limesickle was now melted and smelling up the kitchen with sweet lime! Mmmmhmmm!
Anyway, I had a light bulb go off in my head (ding, ding, ding) and I came up with the great idea to make (wait for it....)
I wish there was a way I could describe it, but I exhausted myself coming up with adjectives to describe the rainy weekend. Sorry 'bout that.
But, I will say that the two flavors went perfectly together. They blended just right. I was a little bit worried about one being to strong and overpowering the other. Nope. Worked just right.
I haven't taken any pictures yet. I will put them up as soon as I can, though.
What type of weather do you think makes a perfect day? What do you do on rainy days?
