It has been awhile since I have posted anything.
It has been a busy past couple weeks!
A couple people I know, had a wedding celebration and I was able to help out!
I made 24 lip balm favors for the ladies that would be attending.
The flowers were to be red roses and I wanted to incorporate with the lip balm. I had a few weeks to get them done. I infused the coconut oil and sweet almond oil with rose petals for one week. I ordered the containers off the internet. Once I got them, I mixed up the rest of the ingredients. I wanted it to have a little color and not a plain boring color. Becase this was a wedding after all!
I played with a few different ingredients, honestly, I have no idea how I ended up with the color. I ended up with a pretty pale pink color that went great with the flavor of the lip balm. The flavor was Vanilla Rose.
Unfortunately, the rose petals didn't color the oil, but it did give a slight rose water smell. I added vanilla essential oil and fragrance oil. In the end, I was very pleased with end product.
The only problem was that I could not find a label that would fit on the lid. The description when I bought them said that an certain label would fit, but then I couldn't find them. The solution: I just put it in a wedding favor box and put a label on the box. Ta Da!
Here are all of them together, not a good picture but.... yeah. The last four were for little girls, so that is part of why they are different.
And now for the flavors. I have made a new flavor!
I enjoy making new flavors and I think my lips do as well. I have to try it out right? This one tastes and smells good. You have to be one of those people that likes smells though.
The flavor is..... Chocolate Covered Cherries. Yummy, I know!
It's a creamy chocolate lip balm with cherry flavor. It is similar to the Chocolate Vanilla lip balm, just that it is cherry.
I am thinking about maybe changing the name, if y'all have any suggestions let me know.
Since I was using up my cherry flavor oil, I deceided to mix up some cherry gloss as well.
For the gloss, it is nice. I'm not too crazy about shiny lips (when someone figures out what it is about them, please let me know. I am curious to know... :P) , just getting them to not look chapped is a big deal for me!
Well, that is all for now. Sorry for the long post, hope you enjoyed reading!
