How did that happen?? Oh right, yes, I have been making lotions and lip balms. So now I am out.

A friend of mine got some from a local bee farmer. The only problem is that...

Posted on February 10, 2014 at 2:10 PM Comments comments (2)

Artificial Colorants vs. All-Natural Colorants

Posted on January 16, 2014 at 8:25 PM Comments comments (0)

If you are like me you probably like all the different colors in most of your cosmetics.

For example, when you open your tube of cherry lip balm, you probably expect it to be a rich red color. But, have you ever wondered what makes up that deep red hue?

Artificial colorants are derived from many unexpected sources included crushed up insects or even rust. The basic ingredient that artificial color is made up from is castor oil. While castor oil is not bad in itself, it is the add...

The Benefits of Coconut Oil.

Posted on January 8, 2014 at 5:05 PM Comments comments (0)

I mentioned a few times that I use coconut oil as the base for most of my lip balms.

Posted on December 31, 2013 at 12:20 AM Comments comments (0)

If you are like me, a  lip balm loving girl, you have probably tried many different brands and probably have few favorites. But , have you ever read the ingredients...
