A Mica Day!

Posted on May 27, 2014 at 6:45 PM Comments comments (2)

I like color in my lip balm. I like a little sparkle in my lip balm.

How do make lip balms with these two things in them? And can I do it using all natural ingredients?

Yes! I'm sure you have heard of mica powder... If not, this is what it is:

Mica is a silicate mineral used in cosmetics for its brilliant or shimmering appearance, according to Wikipedia

Favors & Flavors

Posted on March 25, 2014 at 1:15 PM Comments comments (2)

It has been awhile since I have posted anything.

It has been a busy past couple weeks!

A couple people I know, had a wedding celebration and I was able to help out!

I made 24 lip balm favors for the ladies that would be attending.

The flowers were to be red roses and I wanted to incorporate  with the lip balm. I had a few weeks to get them done. I infused the coconut oil and sweet almond oil with rose petals for one week.  I ordered th...

Curls, Waves, Or Straight?

This past week I was making some lip balms *cough*

I mean that is what I normally do... besides lotions and cuticle creams. Anyway, I was making some for sale. I was just finishing up one and was all ready planning the next one and then I relized I was out of beeswax.

How did that happen?? Oh right, yes, I have been making lotions and lip balms. So now I am out.

A friend of mine got some from a local bee farmer. The only problem is that...

Coming Along.... Someday!

Posted on February 10, 2014 at 2:10 PM Comments comments (2)

Well, the website is coming together. It is taking me longer than I thought to get it back up and running. I am even seeing it in my dreams!

I didn’t get as much as I wanted done, but I did get something done this weekend.

LABELS! Labels for two lip balms. The pictures are slowly making their way to the web. I really enjoy making labels, it is probably my favorite part of this business, next to making a new lip balm. 

Now for the rest. I am making lip balms ...
